Words of Wisdom: Mom and Kings

Growing up my mother always had these sayings. Things like, "I see said the blind man" or "If the sun still shine and the creek don't rise". And a few others that I cannot mention in this post. Over these past few weeks of self-isolation, social distancing, physical distancing, sheltering in place, or whatever you want to call it; her sayings have been playing in mind as a means of comfort. Often when I need a word of wisdom, I have an internal conversation with her and things seem to improve. More importantly, I turn to writers like King Solomon and others in the book of Proverbs for god-inspired guidance. So today, I thought I would share with you my TOP 10 Proverbs to ponder as you continue to spend time with yourself:

10 - The immature will die because they turn away; smugness will destroy fools. Those who obey me will dwell securely, untroubled by the dread of harm. (Proverbs 1:32 - 33) 9 - The LORD’s eyes watch over every person’s path, observing all their ways. (Proverbs 5:21)

8 - The LORD’s eyes watch over every person’s path, observing all their ways. (Proverbs 18:10) 7 - Laziness brings poverty; hard work makes one rich. A wise son harvests in the summer; a disgraceful son sleeps right through the harvest. (Proverbs 10:4 - 5) 6 - When the righteous become numerous, the people rejoice,

but when the wicked dominate, the people moan. (Proverbs 29:2) 5 - A peaceful mind gives life to the body, but jealousy rots the bones. (Proverbs 14:30) 4 - Know him in all your paths, and he will keep your ways straight. (Proverbs 3:6) 3 - Kind persons benefit themselves, but cruel people harm themselves. (Proverbs 11:17) 2 - The LORD’s eyes watch over every person’s path, observing all their ways. (Proverbs 5:21) 1 - Don’t let loyalty and faithfulness leave you. Bind them on your neck; write them on the tablet of your heart. Then you will find favor and approval in the eyes of God and humanity. (Proverbs 3:3 - 4) Gain wisdom and Be Blessed.
