Has anyone ever described you as being a strong person? And you thought to yourself that they could not possibly be referring to you, right? Well I certainly have.
On those occasions when I am asked to describe myself, the word strong is the last thing that comes to mind. Often on the inside, I feel weak and weary form the difficulties of life. Yet, what is showing on the outside is a strong, spirit-filled person who has it all put together.
Can you relate?
Where do I get my strength?
From spending time in GOD’S HOLY WORD!
2 Corinthians 12: 9 – 10 tells me that, “And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore, I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.”
We all have times of weakness, times when it seems like it is you against the world. However, we can take comfort in knowing that we have a source of strength that will give us the power needed to fight through.
